PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component inserting mechanism for firmly inserting an electronic component in the predetermined direction of a slot portion with a small force to put many terminals of the electronic component into good contact with the terminals of the slot portion, without misalignment for producing good electronic component packaging. SOLUTION: An electronic component can be inserted in a predetermined direction with a small force, by providing a base part 5 fixed on a slot portion on a substrate on which an electronic part is packaged, a pair of guide rails 6 so as to face opposite to each other and extending from the base part 5 along the direction in which the electronic component is inserted, and levers 7 each of which is rotatably provided at the tip end in the extending direction of each guide rail 6.
