PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin power supply adapter which is structured so that projecting objects such as output cords, plugs, etc., are covered and which has good operating easiness, convenience, and storage characteristics. SOLUTION: A power supply adapter is fitted on one side face of a flat rectangular body case 1 with a takeup reel 2, an output cord 3 led out of the same surface to be taken up on the reel, and a lid plate 4 to cover the reel 2, output cord 3, and a connector 3a and on the opposite side face with a connection plug for input. The lid plate 4 can be opened and closed through a hinge 5, and a space to accommodate the connector 3a is provided between the edge material 4a of the lid plate 4 and the end of the body case 1.
