PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a transmisson shaft. SOLUTION: An electromechanical power train 10 has two motor/generator (m/g) units 14, 16 which are provided with a plurality of planetary gear sets 22, 24, 26, 28 and arranged as concentric coaxial constitution. An input shaft is driven by a prime mover, via a clutch capable of selective engagement. The two motor/generator units 14, 16 are controlled in the state coupled with the planetary gear sets, the prime mover and a power source (battery), and provide an input split power train of two modes. |
