PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a density unevenness evaluating device capable of performing evaluation close to the evaluation performed by a skilled inspector by means of a densitometer. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an image input part 1 for reading density on a specified area including a density patch P formed on a recording sheet S and outputting the density as the density signal, an image memory part 3 for storing the density signal output from the image input part 1, a calculating part 4 for moving a certain measuring area in the density patch P based on the density signal stored in the image memory part 3 thereby calculating the dispersion of the density average in the measuring area, and a judging part 6 for judging the presence or absence of the density unevenness by comparing the density average dispersion calculated by the calculating part 4 with the preset allowable density average dispersion. |
