PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of improving heat dissipation property from a light source unit while being made small in size, thin in thickness and low in price. SOLUTION: This optical pickup device 1 has a light source unit 3 in which a laser diode 31, a photodetecting element 32 and a hologram element 33 are integrally formed by a resin mold package 34. A window, which partially exposes internal ground wiring, is provided on a package 34 of the unit 3. The wiring is contacted with a metallic heat radiating plate 5 through the window. The plate 5 contacts with a metallic leaf spring 6 which presses and fixes the unit 3 against a metallic frame 2. Thus, the heat generated by the diode 31 is transmitted to the plate 5, the spring 6 and the frame 2 and radiated from these members. |
