PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed file backup system capable of reducing total backup labor and shortening sampling time. SOLUTION: This backup system is provided with a means for storing information for identifying a file to be backed up and specifying and managing the backup timing of the file, a means for backing up the information in a buffer storing area, a means for deleting the file temporarily backed up in the buffer storing area, a means for storing information to be managed based on a backup request from a client computer system 101, information for specifying a condition convenient for the operation of a server computer system 201 and information for managing the backup file, and a means for successively sending instructions to the system 101 and automatically sampling the file backed up in the buffer storing area from the system 101 to a center storing area in the system 201 and managing the sampled file. |
