<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine capable of easily securing desired ignition performance without sacrificing mountability. SOLUTION: This ignition coil is constituted of a center core 17 disposed inside a case 16, a side core 18, a primary coil 19, a secondary coil 20 and a terminal 22, etc. A magnet 24 is disposed at both ends of the center core 17 and a stress relaxing material 25 is disposed so as to cover the periphery of the magnet 24 and the center core 17 itself. The center core 17, the magnet 24 and the stress relaxing material 25 are included in a secondary bobbin 26. Also, an energy storage coil housing part 40 is provided on the upper part of the ignition coil, and an energy storage coil 21 for imparting magnetic energy to the primary coil 19 at the time of the ignition of an ignition plug is housed there.</p> |
