PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a dye image having a vivid color and to ensure superior color reproducibility by forming two different photosensitive layers and incorporating a specified compd. into all the photosensitive layers. SOLUTION: The heat developable color photosensitive material has a photosensitive silver halide, a binder and a dye imparting compd. which forms or releases a diffusible dye in silver development on the substrate. It has two different photosensitive layers and a compd. of the formula or the like is contained in all the photosensitive layers. The ratio of the content of the compd. in one of the photosensitive layers maximumly contg. the compd. to that in the other minimally contg. the compd. is >=15. In the formula, Ball is an org. ballast group capable of making the compd. nondiffusible Y is a group of carbon atoms required to form a benzene or naphthalene nucleus, R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or the like, R2 is H, halogen or the like and (n) is an integer of 0-5.
