PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to fix a ferrule without the offset of its position at the time of assembly and to prevent the offset in spite of exertion of pressure in a central axis direction by biting of fine projections disposed at a cap into the grooves disposed on the outer periphery of the ferrule. SOLUTION: The ferrule 7 is positioned and disposing into the groove 13 of a semi-cylindrical shape disposed in a connector part 9 at the front end of a package 1 and the cap 12 is turned back and is pressed and adhered to the package 1, by which the ferrule is assembled to the finished product of a module for optical communication. The connector part 9' molded at the front end portion of the cap 12 is molded with one or two pieces of the semicylindrical grooves 13' and microprojections 14. The outer periphery of the ferrule 7 is provided with >=1 pieces of the grooves 15. The cap 12 is pressed to the package 1 across the ferrule 7, by which the projections 4 are collapsed and deformed and are bitten into the grooves 15. The ferrule 7 may thus be fixed in such a manner that the ferrule 7 does not move in the central axial direction even if the pressure of a specified range is exerted on the ferrule 7 in its central axis direction.
