PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect incident of chronic rejection in a patient operated for an organ transplantation in the early stage by detecting heparitinase in a specimen such as human urine, blood, tissue or the like. SOLUTION: Heparitinase in a specimen is detected. As the specimen, body fluid such as urine and blood or tissue of human is available. Either of whole blood or serum/plasma can be used as a blood specimen. Either of tissue itself or extract of tissue homogenate in a proper buffer solution can be used as the tissue, and urine is particularly suitable. A kidney transplantation is suitable for this method in feasible organ transplantations such as a kidney transplantation a liver transplantation, a heart transplantation, and a pancreas transplantation. The detected heparitinase is recognizable by an antibody prepared by using heparitinase with a molecular weight of about 95,000 as an immunogen. Although a measurement value for heparitinase may be directly used, it may be used in the form of an index by finding a ratio to a measurement value of another marker.
