CONTROLLER AND CONTROLLING METHOD FOR INDOOR SKIING SLOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller and a control method for indoor skiing slope in which high snow quality can be sustained constantly through a simple and inexpensive structure while suppressing melting of snow and energy consumption is suppressed by enhancing the control accuracy for sustaining high snow quality. SOLUTION: The surface of artificial snow 16 is cooled by supplying chill from a chill hole 22 at a height close to the surface of a slope 17 and temperature raised air is taken out from an exhaust hole 23 thus sustaining the air flow temperature Tc in the vicinity of the surface of the slope 17 at a specified level. Temperature Tr of the temperature raised air is measured and snow surface cooling heat of the slope 17 is predicted based on the difference between blowing temperature T0 of chill and the temperature Tr. Subsequently, the blowing temperature T0 of chill being supplied to the slope 17 is controlled such that the melting quantity of snow (expressed in terms of the quantity of heat for melting snow) is sustained at a specified temperature according to a converting formula of heat quantity.
