PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pot type liquid fuel combustion apparatus capable of stable blue combustion. SOLUTION: A metal combustion improver 12 comprises in a pot 2 a cylinder 12c having many transparent holes 12c-1, a ring 12a provided on a lower end of the cylinder 12c, and a cap shaped ignition plate 12b provided on an upper end of the cylinder 12c, wherein combustion air evaporated and combusted on a pot bottom 2b passes through the transparent holes 12c-1 provided in the cylinder 12c to a main combustion section 14. For this, heat is robbed by the cylinder 12c having a higher heat absorption and radiation rate than gas, whereby temperature is lowered with the combustion gas suppressed in activation, during which premixing with air and an elementary reaction are securely achieved, and stable blue fire combustion is achieved without permitting an intermediate product in an unstable state where oxidization and thermal decomposition are not relatively promoted to directly flow into the combustion section 14.
