PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video telephone that is provided with a means that selects a video signal used to directly display a real time image photographed by a camera from a frame feed image during speech with respect to a photographed image automatically in response to focusing of a camera by the operator. SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 13 provided in a rotary mechanism section of a focusing mechanism 12 of a camera 7 generates a signal by the adjustment operation of the user, and an SW controller 14 activates a control signal of a video changeover SW 16 when a detection section is active. A timer 15 activates an SW control signal for a prescribed time even when the pressure sensor is inactive. In the case of focusing, video changeover SW terminals c and d are closed under the control of a signal from the pressure sensor to directly lead a video signal from the camera 7 to a video display device 11, on which a video image is displayed in real time, and during speech, terminals b, d are closed and a video signal via video processing including A/D conversion and D/A conversion is led to the video display device on which a frame feed image is displayed. |
