PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce nitrogen oxide without use of a catalyst having problems that the structure of a heat storage chamber is complicated, and activation is deteriorated depending upon components of waste gas, and oxidization, corrosion, and closure are caused. SOLUTION: In a reduction method of nitrogen oxide in a heat storage type burner 1; 1' for alternately combusting a paired burners, there are detected waste gas temperature, oxygen O2 concentration and nitrogen oxide NOx concentration from the waste gas existent from each heat storage type up to a waste gas flue 8. When the waste gas temperature in the detected values falls within a reaction proper temperature range, ammonia gas NH3 is dispersed and supplied into the waste gas from nozzles 2'; 2 of a main gas burner 4'; 4 provided on the heat storage type burner 1'; 1 on an exhaust side every time. |
