PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize positioning accuracy of a magnetic head by securing an arranged winding coil, where the interconnecting wire part between coil winding layers are located on the outside of a carriage, integrally to the carriage and a coil holding part thereby eliminating fluctuation in the fixing position of coil and attaining stabilized bonding strength. SOLUTION: A coil wire of self-fusing insulated wire is wound by a specified number of turns while being arranged. A carriage 5 made of metal, e.g. aluminum, comprising a coil 2 having interconnecting wire part 3 between coil winding layers concentrated on one side and a coil holding part 4 is bonded integrally with the coil 2 through epoxy resin or UV-curing resin adhesive 6 such that the interconnecting wire part 3 of the coil wire is located on the outside of the carriage 5. Since the coil side having uniform external dimensions is located on the carriage 5 side, fluctuation is eliminated in the fixing position of the coil 2 resulting in a coil assembly where the positioning accuracy of a magnetic head is stabilized.
