PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type flowmeter which has a high detection efficiency and does not cause malfunctions. SOLUTION: The float type flowmeter contains a flowmeter main body 1, a float 9 stored in the flowmeter main body 1 lifting up, down, and having a set-in magnet 11, and a detecting means 101 arranged outside the flowmeter main body 1. The detecting means 101 is constituted by using a Hall IC element 105. The flowmeter can detect a flow rate with a high accuracy without causing malfunctions.
