PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selective electromagnetic shielding device which is simple in structure and capable of electromagnetically shielding an object from electromagnetic waves of only prescribed frequencies and can be provided as an electromagnetic shield at a low cost through a shielding work. SOLUTION: An FSS (selective electromagnetic shield) device 1 is so formed into a regular triangle as to make the total length of all the sides of the triangle equal to the wavelengthλof electromagnetic waves of cut-off frequency or reflecting frequency, and the FSS devices 1 are arranged on a board 5 such as a transparent panel or the like of low dielectric substance by a means such as printing or welding. The FSS devices 1 and the reversed FSS devices 1A are alternately arranged on the board 5, whereby the scattering opening surfaces of the FSS devices 1 overlap with each other, so that all the surface of the board 5 or the panel can be possessed of a selective electromagnetic shielding function, the adjacent FSS devices 1 and 1A interfere less with each other, a distance between the adjacent FSS devices 1 and 1A can be lessened, the FSS devices 1 can be enhanced in mounting density, and the board 5 or the panel can be enhanced in electromagnetic shielding effect.
