PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly sensitively detect the opening/closing state of a movable side member is simple structure at low cost concerning a paper sheets processor for performing sensing processing such as the identification of paper sheets. SOLUTION: When maintaining or checking a paper money identifier 10, lock due to a fastener 20 is released. Thus, a handle member 18 is pulled by a spring 181a and moved up. When the handle member 18 reaches the top part, since the optical path of a photosensor 19 is surely shielded by a shielding member 182, the output of the photosensor 19 is turned on. Thus, the lock of a movable side member 14 is released and opening is detected. Therefore even when an opening angleθ1 of the movable side member is a little, opening can be surely detected.
