PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device made possible to obtain the excellent image being supreme in development property and the development stability preventing the occurrence of absorption or void arising at the non- contact development, at the time of forming image on the image carrier, and to obtain the image of excellent hue, furnished with the second color enable inconspicuously changing. SOLUTION: This image forming device, provided with a photoreceptor 1, and the developing device 4 equipped with a developing sleeve 41 carrying the developer held in a state of non-contact with respect to the photoreceptor 1, for developing the electrostatic latent image carried on the developing sleeve 41 by the developer, is allowed to apply voltage consisting of DC component superimposed by non-centrosymmetry AC component being intermittently suspended with regard, to the developing sleeve 41 carrying the developer, and moreover, the image forming device is composed so as to satisfy the next numerical formula, (Vs/Vp)>=2.
