<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radar apparatus in which an investigation signal is swept continuously, in which a reflected signal from a reflecting body in an arbitrary direction is detected by adjusting a sampling timing and by which a distance is computed. SOLUTION: The direction of a signal sending-out means 4 and the direction of a reflected-signal receiving means 1 are swept by a sweep means 6 in prescribed two-axis directions. During this time, an investigation signal 7 in which light or electromagnetic waves are sine-wave-modulated is sent out by the signal sending-out means 4. A reflected signal 8 from the sending-out direction of the investigation signal 7 is received continuously by the reflected-signal receiving means 1. In addition, a phase-difference detecting means 14 continuously finds the phase difference between the investigation signal 7 and the reflected signal 8 in the whole sweep range of the sweep means 6. Then, at every prescribed sampling timing, an A/D conversion means 15 A/D-converts a phase- difference signal which is output by the phase-difference detecting means 14, and it outputs a DC offset signal. A distance computing means 3 computes a distance up to a reflecting target on the basis of the DC offset signal which is output by the A/D conversion means 15.</p> |
