PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect plural various interfaces among central processors and peripheral I/O devices without requiring the enlargement of a device and recuding throughput. SOLUTION: Converter mechanisms 8, 8' are arranged among a main frame system host 1 provided with channel connection mechanisms 2 for main frame interfaces 100, an open system host 1' provided with a channel connection mechanism 2' for an open interface 101 such as an SCSI and a disk control mechanism 13 provided with a single fiber channel control mechanism 14, the host side main frame interfaces 100 and the open interface 101 such as the SCSI are integrated into a common fiber channel interface 200 and the mechanisms 8, 8' are connected to the mechanism 13 through the interface 200. The mechanisms 8, 8' and the mechanism 13 execute mutual conversion between the common fiber channel interface 200 and the original individual interfaces 100, 101.
