摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain electric power, cooling water and the like from being consumed wastefully during the operation of an X-ray analyzer. SOLUTION: In the X-ray analyzer in which a sample 1 is irradiated with primary X-rays B1 and in which secondary X-rays B2 generated from the sample 1 are detected so as to analyze the sample 1, an end-point-of-time discrimination means 32 which discriminates a point of time when the measurement of the sample 1 is finished is installed, and a suspension-state setting means 33 by which the X-ray analyzer is set to a preset suspension state when a prescribed time or higher elapses from the point of time of the finish of the measurement is installed. In the suspension state, at least one out of the supply of electric power, the amount of cooling water and the supply of a gas to the X-ray analyzer is reduced more than that in an X-ray measurement. In addition, in the X-ray analyzer, a start-point-of-time discrimination means 34 which discriminates a point of time when the operation of the measurement is started is installed, and a measuring-state setting means 35 by which the X-ray analyzer is set to a measuring state from a point of time when the operation of the measurement is started is installed. The X-ray analyzer is returned automatically to be in the measuring state from the suspension state.
