PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear load testing apparatus, in which it is not required to remove a disturbance teeth around a tooth, to be tested, in order to prepare the tooth, to be tested, in a gear to be tested and in which all teeth in the gear to be tested can be used for a test. SOLUTION: A gear 5, to be tested, which is shaft-supported by a support base 2 so as to be freely rotatable and a fixed gear 9 which is fixed to the support base 2 separately are engaged on a horizontal line which is passed through the rotation center of both gears 5, 9. A semicircular flywheel 10 and a semicircular flywheel 10 are fixed around a rotating shaft 3 to which the gear 5 to be tested is fixed. After that, a support-base assembly 1 is excited by an exciter 12, and the strength of a tooth in the gear 5 to be tested is tested. As a result, it is possible to obtain a load testing apparatus in which the removal operation of a tooth in the circumference is not required and which can be used to test all teeth in the gear 5 to be tested.
