摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply manufacture a rotation angle sensor at a low cost while adopting a magnetic system. SOLUTION: Spiral electrodes 11 are formed at specified pitches on a rotating plate 8, and connected in parallel with an annular positive common electrode 9 and an annular negative common electrode 10. By applying a current to the spiral electrodes through the positive common electrode 9 and the negative common electrode 10, magnetic fluxes are generated from the spiral electrodes 11. From the neighboring spiral electrodes, the magnetic fluxes are generated in the mutually opposite directions. The magnetic fluxes whose directions change in accordance with rotation of the rotating plate 8 are interlinked with a first and a second Hall elements 17, (18) arranged facing the rotating plate 8, and sinusoidal wave detection signals are outputted. Since phases of the detected signals are shifted by 90 deg., the angle of rotation and the direction of rotation of the rotating plate 8 can be obtained on the basis of the respective detected signals.
