PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the remaining quantity of a web for supplying a parting agent to the surface of a fixing roller. SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided with the fixing roller 106 for heating/pressing a toner image transferred on a recording medium and fixing the toner image on the recording medium while cooperatively working with a pressure roller 107, the web impregnated with the parting agent and which is pressed against the fixing roller 106 by the pressure roller, a 1st conductive shaft 109 around which the unused part of the web is wound, a 2nd shaft 110 for winding the web after the web is pressed by the fixing roller 106 and a web remaining quantity detecting means 104 for detecting that the remaining quantity of the unused web wound around the 1st shaft 109 becomes the prescribed value. |
