PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make realizable a high speed recording by stably generating a sufficient amount of ink mist and giving a sufficient amount of electrification to the ink mist. SOLUTION: A developing device is provided with an ink mist generating means 10 forming an ink column 105 having directivity by giving the elastic vibration of a high frequency to liquid ink 124, making the ink column into mist near the top of the ink column and thereafter, generating turbulence. The means 10 is equipped with a charge electrode 103 arranged around the ink column 105 at a position where the mist is formed from the ink column 105, and the charge electrode 103 and the ink column 105 are not directly brought into contact with each other. |
