PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a narrow frame of liquid crystal module and to facilitate the design of a compact portable terminal, etc., by approximately vertically disposing an inverter substrate with respect to an indication surface on the side surface of shorter side of a liquid crystal panel indication in a liquid crystal module equipped with the inverter. SOLUTION: The substrate of an inverter 2 is vertically disposed with respect to a liquid crystal panel indication portion 1 in the narrow frame liquid crystal module. Generally, in the inverter 2, in the relationship of the width and the thickness in substrate, the thickness t2 is smaller than the width. So, the width of the substrate of the inverter 2 is made narrow to a realizable limit and the thickness t2 is also made thinner actually. Therefore, it becomes possible that the frame width in a conventional case is made narrow to the thickness t2 of the inverter 2. Thus, a narrow frame of the liquid crystal module is realized and a restriction on a design is solved by making the width and the thickness small to an actually possible limit regarding the substrate of the inverter 2.
