PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single phase reactor iron core of a center core type of improved quality by reducing unbalance of dimension change of a main leg and an outer leg of the single phase reactor iron core of a center core type, and excluding the risk of bonding breakdown of a gap spacer and an iron core block which constitute the main leg. SOLUTION: A gapped iron core type single phase reactor is constituted of a main leg iron core 6 formed by alternately laminating a plurality of annular core blocks 3 and gap spacers 5, outer leg iron cores arranged on both sides of the main leg iron core, and an upper and a lower yokes which are collectively fixed above and below the outer leg iron cores and the main leg iron core. The gap spacers 5 are formed by putting nonmagnetic steel wire or fiber which is subjected to insulating coating treatment into cement and performing composite curing.
