<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-insulated apparatus whose metal container has an improved mechanical strength caused by the increased pressure of insulating gas and which is also superior economically. SOLUTION: A metal container is composed of three coaxial tanks 1, 2 and 3 which have different diameters. The respective tanks 1, 2 and 3 are arranged approximately concentrically in the order of the small diameter tank 1, the middle diameter tank 2 and the large diameter tank 3. The tank 1 and the tank 2 are supported by an insulator 5a, and the tank 2 and tank 3 are supported by an insulator 6c. Insulating gas 7 is sealed between the tank 1 and the tank 2, and insulating gas 8 is sealed between the tank 2 and tank 3. The gas pressures between the tanks 1, 2 and 3 become higher from the inside toward the outside, and furthermore, a differential pressure between the insulating gases 7 and 8 sealed between the tanks 1 and 2 and the tanks 2 and 3 respectively is set approximately constant.</p> |
