PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to relatively easily prepare a coherent picture by preparing a person's portrait, a living creature or a character while selecting plotting structure elements prepared beforehand. SOLUTION: All parts that are to be plotted are displayed on a monitor screen 18. Selection of the parts can be performed by using an external input means such as a mouse, a jog stick or a trackball as well as a parts selection button. Next, when a type of a jaw including cheeks is selected from an area 36, the jaw is displayed at a standard position in a form combined with the outline. When eyes or a nose are successively selected, a bone structure of a person's portrait appears. Thus, even if a person who is poor at drawing can instantly and easily prepare an original picture suited to his taste.
