The hump consists of a main top panel (3) which projects above the road surface by 7 cm, with ramps (5, 6, 8) across its ends and along both sides. The top panel is 110 - 120 cm wide, greater than the wheel track of private cars but smaller than public service vehicles, while the ramps are 30 - 40 cm wide. The top panel, which can be made in one piece with the ramps from reinforced concrete, has a sole plate which is let into the road surface. |
