PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent receiving of an influence by navigation information, even when it makes an error, while a gear ratio is more properly determined by inputting the navigation information, so as to prevent deterioration in responsiveness of control with relatively little navigation information required. SOLUTION: A descending gradient parameter PKUAVE (PKUAVE 2) is additionally corrected by an (excess) loading weight estimation value HWATNAV 1(S412) when an ascending correction section is judged from navigation information (S408) or when running on a descending path is judged from a gradient parameter (S414). In this way, a gear ratio is determined by selecting a map spreading a three-speed region, gear shift control is performed so that multiple use of an engine brake can be performed at the descending time.
