PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer by which the deterioration of printing quality can be prevented without causing a control part to have a malfunction and feeding jamming by making transfer voltage applied to a transfer means take plural voltage values and changeable for transfer time and paper absence time. SOLUTION: It is constituted so that the transfer voltage applied to the transfer means takes plural voltage values, and changeable for the transfer time and the paper absence time. Thus, the transfer voltage suitable for an environment is applied to a transfer roller based on moisture content in air at this printer. In this case, a high voltage deciding part 37 changes a paper absence voltage value stepwise in accordance with the sensor output of a temperature sensor 34 and a humidity sensor 35, and in the case that content is reduced and the sensor output is made small and is set to be equal to or below a specified threshold, the paper absence voltage value is lowered or is cut to be at 0 (V). Also, in the case that the content is increased and the sensor output is set to be larger than a threshold, the paper absence voltage value is set to be a fixed value that is set to be equal to the voltage value at the transfer time or does not exceed the voltage value at the transfer time. |
