PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the bar code scanner which can correct the number of master data through easy operation at the time of the inspection of articles, etc., facilitate article quantity input operation, and also facilitate the size reduction of a device. SOLUTION: A '+' key 4 or/and a '-' key 5 are assigned as trigger keys. When a trigger key is pressed, a control circuit 6 inputs a bar code through a scanner 1 and a decoder 2 and adds one to the number of articles corresponding to the bar code. After article inspection, the control circuit 6 assigns the '+' key 4 or/and '-' key 5 to the original '+' or/and '-' keys and displays the number of master data which are already stored in a memory 9 on an LCD 8. Once it is confirmed that the article inspection number and master data number are not equal to each other, the operator presses the '+' key 4 or '-' key 5. The control circuit 6 once detecting the '+' key 4 or '-'key 5 being pressed increases or decreases the displayed master data number by one. |
