PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head, wide in the selective range of a lens material, high in dimensional precision and having a micro-lens an optical recording and reproducing device having the optical head, and an optical recording and reproducing inspection device for inspecting the optical recording and reproducing device and to provide a method capable of mass-producing the optical head. SOLUTION: This optical head 1 has a micro-lens 13 provided at the intermediate section of one of the surfaces of a silicon substrate 17, a step section 3 formed at the end part of one of the surfaces over the section from the one side walls to the other side wall, and a second recessed section 5 formed on the other surface opposite to the surface on which the lens 13 is formed. The lens 13 is exposed through the section 5. |
