PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict as much as possible vibration of an indicating needle caused by the oscillation of a fuel liquid level and obtain a highly accurate indication value of the indicating needle by driving the indicating needle according to a level detection value integrated by a selected time constant when the level detection value in a form of a voltage level is out of a permissible range. SOLUTION: A fuel level-detecting circuit 31 detects a level position of a liquid fuel remaining in a fuel tank and outputs a level detection value in a form of a voltage level. A time constant-selecting circuit 33 outputs a time constant-selecting signal which selects a time constant of a large set value among a plurality of time constants of preliminarily set different values when the output level detection value is out of a permissible range set on the basis of level detection values. A detection value-integrating circuit 35 integrates the level detection value output from the fuel level-detecting circuit 31 with using the time constant selected by the time constant-selecting circuit 33, and outputs the integrated level detection value. An indicating needle-driving circuit 37 drives an indicating needle to a character plate with scales according to the integrated level detection value.
