摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a measuring instrument in an industrial measurement technology for transmitting and/or receiving a microwave with a large frequency bandwidth while having radiation characteristics with a remarkable forward lobe. SOLUTION: In a filling-level-measuring instrument that operates on a microwave, a casing division 13 that is composed as a waveguide that is short- circuited by a rear wall 2 at one end part side, insertion bodies 3a and 3b made of a dielectric for completely blocking the waveguide, an excitation element 5 that enters the casing division and is connected to a microwave source, and an antenna 4 for transmitting and/or receiving the microwave while its boundary is in contact with the casing division 13 are provided. In the measuring instrument, gaps 7a and 8 are arranged between the excitation element 5 and the antenna 4 in the insertion bodies 3a and 3b and form a filter for essentially preventing the high-order mode of the waveguide from being transmitted.
