摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a new satellite that communicates in future without interrupting communication with a satellite that is communicating at present. SOLUTION: A user terminal 10 set on a surface of the earth 12 is set to be in a versatile communication state to an earth station 18 simultaneously through two orbital satellites 14, 16. Furthermore, when either of the two satellites 14, 16 goes outside of a communication range on its orbit soon, it is required to make communication with other satellite 22 within the communication range. In the satellite communication system above, the user terminal 10 is operated to suppress a time division multiple access TDMA time slot in a communication state (of the user terminal 10) with the two satellites 14, 16 to receive and report a multiple address communication message from the other satellite. The suppressed time slot is based on an evaluation which of the two satellites has a path with highest attenuation.
