PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sharply increase vibration control effect, and in its turn minimize a device by actively controlling liquid movement in a a vibration control device using liquid. SOLUTION: Tubular bodies 14 are standingly provided on the upper parts of four corner portions of the lower tank 12, and an intermediate reservoir part 18 is provided in the intermediate part of a duct 16 for communicating the upper end portions of the tubular bodies 14. A U-shaped passage is formed on the reservoir part 18 to reservoir water 22 to provide a flap 24 in its dipped condition in the water 22, thereby connecting the flap 24 to a servomotor 28. The detected values of a building displacement gage 36, a water gage 38, and a rotation angle gage 40 are inputted into a computer 44, respective signals are time-integrated to operate condition quantity, and a gain is multiplied and added to these condition quantity to obtain the angle command value of the flap 24.
