PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high image quality photosensitive material for photographing excellent in stability during product preservation and imparting good graininess while having ultrahigh sensitivity and to obtain a photosensitive material for photographing capable of easily and rapidly forming an image with little load on the environment while maintaining the characteristics of high sensitivity and high image quality. SOLUTION: The top of a substrate is coated with at least three photographic sensitive layers including blue-, green-and red-sensitive photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers to obtain the objective photosensitive material. The characteristic photographic sensitivity of the photosensitive material is >=800, the total amt. (expressed in terms of silver) of applied silver is <=7.0 g/m2 and the relation of (total amt. of applied silver)/(characteristic photographic sensitivity)1/2 <=0.185 is established between the total amt. of applied silver and the characteristic photographic sensitivity.
