A speaking and listening connection can be set-up between the speaking and listening units (1-5) inside the building, and one (7) outside. Into the connection of these units is integrated a speech recorder and playback unit, which can record at least the speech from the external unit, and playback to the internal units. The recorder and playback unit can also be used reversely, with talk from inside and playback outside. Each flat or using party can have a recorder and playback unit in their flat. The external unit may comprise a code input controlling access to the recorder and playback unit.
