INVERTED PLUG FOR PRINTED CIRCUITS

Inverted plug for printed circuits having the approximate shape of a rectangular prism and made by folding a metal sheet piece. On each of the minor side faces of the prism there is provided a prolongation configured like an arrow point intended to be inserted into corresponding holes of the printed circuit. The base which is more proximal to the printed circuit is open in order to receive a component (relay, fuse, etc.) through another hole of the printed circuit and to secure it by means of spring tongues which are formed by inward folding of extensions of the major side faces. The plug is closed at its upper base by means of another extension of one of its major side faces. The configuration provides for the welding of the points to the circuit during the same component insertion operation and also confers a lower profile to the finished assembly.
