The motor vehicle clutch adjuster has a drive plate (36) with coupling area (56) adjacent to the rotary axis (A) of the pusher (24). A push rod (42) converts rotary motion of the drive plate into a pushing action. A compensating spring (44) engages the drive in dependence on the rotary position of the drive plate.
