The nozzle (2) is received in a receptacle (3) formed by a portion of the cylinder head wall (6) and a screwed-in insert sleeve (4). The neck (8) of the nozzle is protected by a nozzle shielding sleeve (13) e.g. of copper, having a collar (12) by which it is clamped between bearing surfaces (10,11) of the nozzle and of the insert sleeve respectively, leaving an annular space (21). The thin-walled, cylindrical portion (14) of the sleeve has a region (16) spaced from the neck and a region (17) which is press fit on the free end of the neck.
