The extendable arms(21) of the raising device are interconnected by a stiffening plate(25). The means of alignment and lowering of the joint comprises at least one operating component which is connected both to the stiffening plate and to the lever arm(11) or to an element connecting the lever arms. The operating component fits on the baseplate(6) at the hinge point(14) of the lever arm. In the extended position of the operating component the baseplate and extendable arm form an angle of up to 90 degrees, and with the operating component retracted the lever arm and extendable arm lie parallel to one another.
