Gas refrigerating machine which includes a high pressure line (2) subject to laminar flow, leading from the compressor (1) which experiences a continuous cross sectional reduction (4) and then passes over in to a low pressure line (5) to the compressor (1). The high and low pressure lines (2,5) are designed as a counter flow-recuperator (6).
