The smart card is inserted into a card reader (1) which contains memory, RAM or CD-ROM, containing a database (5) of personal data necessary to verify chip card. The database personal data is compared with the card stored data. Database data is updated regularly. If data are same, this verifies the validity of the card and all relevant details are shown on the screen.
