Producing flawless casts from molds comprises pumping out the mold to a negative pressure before injecting the liquid material and allowing it to set. The material is introduced at atmospheric pressure and can be a foam material (5) e.g. concrete foam, to produce a lightweight cast. The process can also be produced by pumping the material into the mold under pressure.
