USE OF MCRP FOR DELIVERY OF MATERIALS INTO CELLS

The invention provides a method of delivering a material into a cell. The method comprises associating the material with a modified C-reactive protein (mCRP) or a mutant-mCRP. Then, the material associated with the mCRP or the mutant-mCRP is contacted with the cell so that the material is delivered int o the cell. The invention also provides a kit comprising one or more container s. In one embodiment, one of the containers holds a material to be delivered in to a cell in association with a modified C-reactive protein (mCRP) or a mutant- mCRP. Alternatively, one of the containers holds the material to be delivere d into the cell, and a second container holds the mCRP or the mutant-mCRP.
