The system consists of an armature of an AC generator (3) with a motor (4) driving a stator winding consisting of coils. A DC shunt motor (4) supplied from a DC source (6) drives the armature of the generator via a reduction transmission (5), especially a toothed belt transmission, with a reduction of 1.166. The number of poles in the armature is the same as in the stator. The coils of the stator winding are directly connected to one phase. The generator provides an AC voltage with practically the same frequency for a given long-term power.
